When you promote yourself as the International House of Pancakes, you’d darn well better be doing something for National Pancake Day.

Right? Right.

But fear not, because the chain widely known simply as IHOP has big plans. Namely, it’s giving pancakes away … for free .. to celebrate the occasion.

For the record, National Pancake Day is Feb. 28. And from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. locally, dine-in customers can nab themselves a free plate of short stack flapjacks for the low, low cost of $0.

How’s that for a bargain?

Happy Pancake Day!

“IHOP’s National Pancake Day is a holiday we look forward to celebrating with our guests as an annual tradition, and we are spreading even more joy this year by adding the chance to earn loyalty rewards through our International Bank of Pancakes,” IHOP Chief Marketing Officer Kieran Donahue said in a press release.

Disclaimer: Hours may vary by location, but that’s just a minor nuisance on a day when the world is celebrating the popular starch-based breakfast batter, typically made with eggs, milk and butter.

As of November 2021, IHOP had more than 1,700 restaurants in the U.S. and abroad. That, kids, is a lot of free pancakes.

And as relayed by USA Today: “International Bank of Pancakes loyalty members will also get two times the PanCoins on any additional menu items purchased. (Members can also get free pancakes on their birthday.)
