Robert Downey Jr. just made a 9-year-old boy’s wish come true with this sweet message Facebook

“The Avengers” just welcomed a new addition to their team!

This week, Iron Man, also known as Robert Downey Jr. invited a 9-year-old Australian boy, Domenic to be part of the crime-fighting team in a message posted to Make-A-Wish Foundation Australia’s Facebook page.

In the video, Downey Jr. is wearing sunglasses and a hat and says he is Tony Stark in disguise because of a recent civil war.

I hear you have had quite the day. It’s hard work, saving the work, isn’t it? I hope you had lots of fun. I bet you enjoyed the helicopter ride this morning. I just want to wish you all the best, keep up the good work. And, listen here, I don’t do this very often but I am making you an honorary member of The Avengers. I here by dub thee because guess what? Iron Man loves you.

Domenic Pace lives with Cystic Fibrosis but that has not stopped him from dreaming of one day being a superhero. With the help of Make-A-Wish Foundation Australia and NSW Police, that dream came true. Pace, who now goes by Iron Boy, saved an Australian reporter from certain evil before becoming an honorary member of The Avengers.
