Bruce Willis paid a visit to his old stomping grounds on Saturday to mark the 34th anniversary of Die Hard’s release on July 20, 1988, according to Huffington Post.

Willis’ character John McClane swore off returning to “Nakatomi Plaza,” where the movie took place — or any other tall building. But Willis himself didn’t have any issues with doing so.

The fictional Nakatomi Plaza is in reality the rooftop of Fox Plaza in Century City, Los Angeles. Willis’ wife, model Emma Heming Willis, posted an Instagram video of the actor standing on the rooftop:

Willis is battling aphasia and will not act.

On March 30, Rumer Willis — Bruce Willis’ daughter with ex-wife Demi Moore — published a family statement on Instagram about her father’s health. The post stated that he is suffering from aphasia, a disease that “is impacting his cognitive abilities”:

“As a result of this[,] and with much consideration[,] Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him,” the family said. “This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up,’ and together we plan to do just that.”

Despite the actor pressing pause on shooting more films, Willis is due to appear in a total of 11 new, direct-to-video movies this year. In one of them, Paradise City, he co-stars alongside another Pulp Fiction vet, John Travolta.

In January of last year, the actor caught flak after refusing to wear a mask at a Rite-Aid pharmacy. He later said his decision was “an error in judgment,” according to People. He asked people to “mask up.”
