The real question is, does she do it intentionally, or is she really clueless as to who the people are. Acording to the Mirror, Pop star Demi Lovato recently called Mariah out on her negativity, saying:
“Mariah is a legend and is so talented but constantly disses people. It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer. Ari did nothing wrong.”

This was said in regards to Carey stating that she had no clue who Jennifer Lopez was and that she’d never met her. More recently, there was a similar situation where Carey made a similar statement in regards to Ariana Grande.
Carey has responded by letting it be known, that she’s clueless as to who Lovato is, and she also had this to say:
“She should come up, introduce herself to me, say, ‘Here’s my opinion, what do you think about it?’ That’s how you handle s#!t, OK.”
If she didn’t know who Lovato was then, she definitely does now.
