The ladies of “The View” have some theories about who could be behind the New York Post’s cover from the weekend.

In case you missed it, nude photos of Melania Trump from 1996 were leaked over the weekend, and, almost immediately, Donald Trump responded to the photos.

Melania was one of the most successful models and she did many photo shoots, including for covers and major magazines. This was a picture taken for a European magazine prior to my knowing Melania. In Europe, pictures like this are very fashionable and common

Something about the latest controversy surrounding the potential first lady just didn’t sit well with the women on “The View.”

Jedediah Bila was among the first to chime in on her theory behind the leaked photos. “She’s a beautiful woman. This is part of her past. Everyone has a story and this is part of her story,” Bila started. “I find it interesting that every time a distraction is needed, every time [Donald Trump] makes a mistake, Melania winds up compromised in some way.”

She used examples of the alleged plagiarism from Michelle Obama’s speech as an example.

“Now, I’m not saying it’s orchestrated. I don’t know. I just think it’s really convenient that every time he does something that’s messed up, she’s the one who winds up looking like this,” Bila finished.

Sherri Shepard also chimed in on the issue and pointed out that the Republican Party tends to be very conservative and that the Trumps are representing that party.

“This could possibly be the President and FLOTUS. The first lady sets the trends,” Shepard said. “What kind of trend is she setting as a first lady?”

Sara Haines also pointed out that Donald Trump has yet to speak about any outrage about the photos and instead seems to boast about what how attractive his wife is. Paula Faris chimed in and reminded the table that Melania Trump has kept herself distant from the campaign trail and has kept her focus on her son, Baron.

“She didn’t sign up for this,” Haines added.

Leave it to Whoopi Goldberg to bring it home for us! When Goldberg finally spoke up, she made her message to Trump very, very clear.

“Donald, you say you care about women. Take care of your wife, jack! Take care of your old lady!” Goldberg said. “She is a beautiful woman, but you know what? That’s your wife!”
