Steve Irwin’s legacy is living on through his very own children, and now grandchildren, years after his tragic death. Paying tribute to their father, Bindi Irwin and brother Robert Irwin posted some adorable childhood throwback pictures on September 4th for Australian Father’s Day. This day also happened to be the 16 anniversary of Irwin’s death.

18-year-old Robert shared a picture of Steve holding him as a baby, captioning the photo, “It’s Father’s Day today in Australia, and I’m sending my love to those who were missing their dad today. I cherish all the good times with my dad and feel grateful to be able to keep his memory and Legacy alive.”
Robert Irwin Pays Tribute to Steve Irwin
24-year -old bendy posted a photo of herself holding a baby crocodile while sitting in a boat with the Crocodile Hunter. “Grandpa Crocodile, I know you would’ve been the most incredible grandfather because you were such an extraordinary dad. Thank you for being an amazing guardian angel for Grace,” she wrote.
Bindi and husband Chandler Powell welcomed their first child, Grace Warrior, last March. They officially tied the knot in 2020. Bindi has repeatedly stated that Grace’s middle names are a loving tribute to her father, who died at the age of 44 back in 2006 after being fatally stung by a stingray.
Grandpa Crocodile
“Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light,” she revealed on Instagram. “Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s.
“Her middle name, Warrior Irwin, is a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell, and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad,” she added.
Steve Irwin’s wife, Terri Irwin, had previously paid tribute to her husband for their 30th anniversary in June, noting, “I married this incredible bloke 30 years ago today. What an adventure! Love and legacy live on.”
