Blake Shelton is not upset with his wife Gwen Stefani’s alleged plastic surgery procedures despite tabloid reports to the country, Gossip Cop recently reported.
The website on Saturday dissected and discounted, point by point, elements of a National Enquirer article
that ran earlier this year. Gossip Cop concluded that the story about Stefani’s alleged “obsession” with plastic surgery contained false information, including Blake Shelton’s supposed anger at his wife.
Both Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are coaches on the reality-TV show competition The Voice, which is returning to TV soon.
Blake Shelton Mad At Gwen Stefani? Don’t Believe Everything You Read
The National Enquirer’s April report cited photos of Stefani, who married Blake Shelton last year, allegedly looking unrecognizable in Anaheim, California.
“Her friends and even Blake have been on her case to lay off the cosmetic procedures and just be herself,” an unnamed source supposedly told The National Enquirer.
But Gossip Cop said the tabloid’s take on the pics was bogus.
“The story claimed to have access to close friends and Shelton himself, but none of those folks are going to talk to the Enquirer,” Gossip Cop said. “Stefani may have had a little work done, but she’s still completely recognizable and can emote. She looks stunning and it’s her body to do what she’d like. This was nothing more than an elaborate insult.”
PopCulture.com addressed the competing reports in a Saturday article, saying there is no tension between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. The website noted that The National Enquirer didn’t name any sources supposedly close to Stefani.
The flap between competing gossip sources comes in the wake of a new teaser for The Voice. NBC posted the clip Thursday. The reality-TV series returns September 19 for its 22nd Season.
In the video spot, Blake Shelton obviously exhibits no tension with his wife. In it, they welcome new coach Camila Cabello, who will join returning coaches John Legend, Shelton, and Stefani.
