Britney Spears’ Nude Instagram Pics Have Fans Split Between Worrisome, Empowering

Britney Spears shared 12 nude pics of herself on her Instagram account Monday.

Her latest round of nude pics seems to have fans split pretty much down the middle.

Those who approve say she’s enjoying her freedom and expressing her independence and femininity, which she has every right to do.  Many who disapprove say it’s a sign that ending her conservatorship may have been a bad idea.

Photographer Matt Bernstein defended her when he talked to TMZ.

“I swear people forget that Britney was in prison of her father’s design for the past 13 years,” he said.  “She missed the years when we were all terrible at Instagram and used those tacky in-app filters. She’s feeling herself. Let her be.”

Britney stripped it down on Instagram for her followers

But the pics were met with criticism from a number of Spears’ followers.  One alluded to her recently dissolved conservatorship, writing: “Starting to think those who were in control perhaps should have stayed in control.”

“Anyone else here legitimately concerned?” another wrote.

Yet others are calling the criticism hypocritical, pointing to other celebs who have done exactly the same thing.

“So Kim Kardashian can do this but Britney Spears can’t? And you wanna call her crazy when she is doing the same thing all the other girls are doing?,” one fan wrote.

Other celebs who have posed in the buff include Bella Hadid, Julia Fox, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and Lizzo.

  1. She’s pathetic, as are the Kardashians. Desperate to be forever young and sexy, as if that’s all they have to offer. Plus, with Britney’s history of mental health issues, it’s even more sad and pathetic, IMO. If you don’t agree, that’s fine. Other’s opinions mean nothing to me. Won’t change my opinion, any more than I can change yours.
