We’ve all heard the saying, “He’s old enough to be your father,” and in this case, it’s true. Only she will be Cook’s wife. Frankly, in Hollywood, it’s really not all that uncommon, and it dates back to the beginning of star power.
As for Cook, his new love was a match made in heaven, he indicated, as Taylor offered input on Dane Cook: Above It All, a new standup special.
“She saw everything that I was working on for the show,” Cook told E! News. “And she was like, ‘Keep that in. I think that part will be great.’ There’s even some fun at our own expense.”

In other words, Cook is using the 27-year age gap as material.
“We have a bit of an age difference, so it’s in the show, it’s in the show,” he said. “If we can’t laugh at it, then nobody else is allowed.”
Along with his standup routine, Cook has made a name for himself with numerous comedic acting performances, including roles in Hawaii Five-O, Louie and Robot Chicken, to name a few.
He contends his marriage will only help his career, age difference be darned.
“I was just trying some material out on her the other day where I was like, ‘Hey, I think I have maybe my first what it’s like to be married joke,'” he told E! News. “So, she got the exclusive. We tried it out and she said, ‘I approve of that. That’s a good one.'”

Cook and Taylor actually began dating in 2017.
“I think it’ll change it in the way that I would always hope growing up with a generation of comedy fans,” he said. “I was a college kid talking to you know, college-age students. And to grow up with a generation of comedy fans. Their kids are now coming to my show. I’m family oriented and to be looking at that with Kelsey and our future and family. It’s like, all feels like the right timing.”
