Or as the case may be, some funny people from Saturday Night Live finding new love by turning to some old acquaintances.
As relayed by TMZ, SNL‘s Kenan Thompson filed from divorce from model Christina Evangeline — who is now dating SNL alum Chris Redd, who was one the show from 2017 until earlier this week.
Redd also played Thompson’s brother on the sitcom, Kenan. And now Redd is dating Thompson’s real-life ex.
But it’s all good, according to multiple celebrity media outlets. Thompson is a-OK with the arrangement, they say.
“They are having a lot of fun and really get along well,” a source told Entertainment Tonight of the Redd-Evangeline courtship.
Thompson, 44, has been a cast member of SNL since 2003. Meanwhile, Redd, 37, just announced he’s leaving the show. It is believed that Redd’s decision is based on trying to take the next steps in his career — and nothing to do with Thompson.
But let’s face it, the timing does make Redd’s exit seem like more than just a coincidence.
That said, per TMZ, Thompson and Evangeline had been separated for more than a year. So it seems the relationship may have been over for quite some time,
Either way, these latest developments make you think that Saturday Night Live is newsworthy on more than just Saturday. It can last all week.
