After a rough year so far, Ellen DeGeneres enjoyed a bright spot on Tuesday by celebrating her 14-year wedding anniversary with Portia de Rossi.

DeGeneres posted a happy anniversary message to De Rossi on her Twitter account on Tuesday.
“It’s good to be loved. It’s profound to be understood.’ I love you, @PortiaDeRossi. Happy 14!” she tweeted, with a heart emoji.
The quote called to mind a previous quote from Ellen DeGeneres that she made in 2015.
De Rossi stopped using Twitter a few years ago. Her latest Instagram post, however, is one congratulating Ellen DeGeneres on the end of her daytime talk show.
“To my utterly beautiful, supremely talented, insanely accomplished wife on the day of your final show….I married an icon,” De Rossi wrote. “I married my idol. I’m so proud of you for making this platform one that not only entertains but inspires and uplifts people. @theellenshow this show will forever be remembered for elevating the worlds consciousness. I love you.”
Stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis, and Bruno Mars appeared on the finale of Ellen’s talk show in late May.
“Define ‘time off’,” Ellen DeGeneres said around the time the show ended. Taking advice from her longtime friend, and industry icon, Oprah Winfrey.
A Rough Year For Ellen DeGeneres
Meanwhile, Deadline said HBO Max said last week that it had indefinitely canceled the animated series, Little Ellen. New episodes aired in June. The network reportedly gave final notice of Little Ellen earlier this month.
HBO Max previously canceled three projects with Ellen DeGeneres after the September 2019 announcement of her partnership with the streaming service. They were the reality-TV shows Ellen’s Home Design Challenge and First Date Hotel, and the docuseries Finding Einstein.
Last week, DeGeneres made headlines again following the tragic death of her former partner Anne Heche.
“This is a sad day,” Ellen DeGeneres wrote on Twitter. “I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love.”
