According to TMZ, the “Fuller House” star called the police after her ex, Justin Hodak, stormed out of the house claiming he wanted to kill himself. Just before she called for help, Sweetin and Hodak had an explosive fight that ended with her calling off their engagement.

Sweetin was reportedly scared that Hodak would go through with ending his life. When police arrived on the scene, she told them Hodak had a gun in one of the bedrooms. Cops seized the gun from the home. Hodak is reportedly a felon, so it is illegal for him to own a gun.

When he returned home, cops arrested Hodak and took him to jail. He was later bailed out.

In January 2016, the couple announced they were engaged. Sweetin shared the news with fans on Instagram.

“So… Looks like the cats outta the bag! Haha! I’m so happy and he did a GREAT job with the ring! Good taste @justinhodak_ I love you!!” she wrote at the time.
