According to Page Six, Michael became a recluse in the last few years and reportedly struggled with marijuana abuse. Last year, he checked himself in to a Swiss rehabilitation facility.

The singer died of heart failure and was found by his partner, Fadi Fawaz, on Christmas Day. He was only 53 years old.
