Kathie Lee Gifford and Haley Joy Kotb are already fast friends!

On Monday, “TODAY” host Hoda Kotb shared a photo of her newly adopted bundle of joy hanging out with her on-air BFF Kathie Lee Gifford and it totally melted our hearts.
In the sweet moment, Kotb and Gifford are all smiles together while sitting on the couch with Haley. The infant’s tiny feet are visible to the camera.

“My girl met my girl and my face exploded ! @KathieLGifford@klgandhoda @TODAYshow,” Kotb tweeted alongside the image.
On “TODAY” Gifford addressed the photo and cleared up any confusion about their meeting.
“Now, that is the picture of Hoda all the time. Every time you see her,”she said. “But somehow she’s forgetting that I came to see her and the baby two days after she got home with the baby. This is not the first time I’m seeing Haley Joy.”
“I wanted to say that I’ve been there. That’s the way rumors get I guess. Kathie Lee and Hoda aren’t really good friends,” she continued. “Sometimes people want to believe that kind of garbage. Not true. Don’t even start.”
In February, Kotb surprised fans with the news that she had adopted the little girl with her boyfriend Joel Schiffman.
For the baby’s name, Kotb explained she was inspired by Halley’s Comet, which can be seen from Earth every 75 or 76 years.
“It was one of those things. I just picture her sailing through the sky,” Kotb told Jenna Bush Hager and Kathie Lee Gifford after sharing the news of the adoption.
“She brings us joy,” Kotb said of her daughter’s middle name. “She’s got a beautiful way about her.”
