PETA is out to get “A Dog’s Purpose.”

According to TMZ, the animal rights organization is trying to organize a protest against the film at movie theaters across the nation. They reportedly will taunt anyone who tries to go see the film.

The outrage erupted after behind-the-scenes footage of alleged animal abuse made its way to the Internet last week. In the footage, a German Shepard named Hercules is seen being forced into a pool of rushing water by his handler and later, can be seen going under the water in the pool. The production studio behind the film claims that Hercules is fine after the incident and one employee has been suspended.
