Janet Jackson just welcomed her first child at age 50, proving that age is just a number

Janet Jackson, 50, and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, welcome their first child, Eissa Al Manna, on Tuesday, a rep for Janet confirmed to PEOPLE.

“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world,” a statement from Jackson’s rep read. “Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”

In November, Janet took to Twitter and gave an update on her pregnancy since announcing the news. Jackson also canceled her remaining shows for “Unbreakable World Tour,” in April.

“Hey you guys.. It’s been awhile.. but I’m still listening.. I feel your love and prayers.. Thank you.. and I’m doing well.. Al Hamdu lillah,” she wrote, ending the tweet with an Arabic phrase that means “praise be to God.”

Janet officially confirmed her pregnancy in October.

The happy couple reportedly got married in 2012.
