Justin Theroux and Courteney Cox have had enough of hearing Jennifer Aniston’s name brought up in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce.
Entertainment Tonight caught up with Cox, who spoke out about the news at Revlon’s Annual Philanthropic Luncheon on Tuesday.
“I feel like we’re exacerbating it by even talking about it,” she said, adding, “it’s not about her.”
Aniston’s husband, Justin Theroux, also addressed the issue during a press tour for his new film, “The Girl on the Train.”
“As a child of divorce, all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children, and that’s all you can really say,” he said. “It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time — that’s horrible.”
Theroux doesn’t appreciate his wife being thrown into the middle of the divorce by the tabloids.
“There’s an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don’t have that appetite,” Theroux said, according to Business Insider. “But I think a lot of people do because people buy it. But there are bigger things to bitch about. It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.
Aniston was married to Pitt for five years; they divorced in 2005. He was filming “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” alongside Jolie at the time of their split.
The actress was brought into focus following the news of Pitt and Jolie’s separation when social media let out a firestorm of memes imagining her reaction.
Aniston has not publicly responded to the divorce.
