It’s parents’ night out for “Dancing with the Stars” darlings Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd!

Just weeks after welcoming their first child, son Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy, the new parents took some time out to enjoy each others company.
“First date night of 2017 with my queen. Thanks @sushidojonyc for bomb sushi ?,” Chmerkovskiy captioned the sweet moment.
But, as for many parents, the date night was cut short, as Chmerkovskiy went on to explain.
“Me: “Baby you want some desert?”@petamurgatroyd : “My boobs are filling up. We gotta go” ? #parents,” he wrote.
The new parents have been enjoying their privacy with the new baby and have been keeping him out of the social media spotlight, at least for now.

Earlier this week, Chmerkovskiy hinted at how fatherhood is going in a sweet post on Instagram.
“It’s been one week plus one day of my fatherhood and I’m the happiest person that’s ever lived. I’m also feeling very protective and now understand what every parent in history have been going through for as long as humans have been giving birth. I don’t let too many people come see my son and I don’t want to put any of him on social media just yet. @petamurgatroyd and I just want to enjoy our little family, together with our loved ones, and take in all the precious moments which we’ll never get back,” he wrote.
“So be sensitive please. Or not. Either way, hope everyone’s year is off to an incredible start. Ours sure started with a bang ? P.S. Farts, poops and throw-ups are the best!” he continued.
The new dad also shared his security team that is in charge of keeping little Shai out of sight from the pesky paparazzi. Sharing a photo of Disney’s Dumbo and a blurry hint of the baby, Chmerkovskiy wrote, “to the paps posted outside the house for the last three days: Not gonna happen! We got security ova here ?.”
