Words are flying and so are lawsuits.

Mariah Carey is accusing James Packer of being a “lying opportunist,” this week according to TMZ.

As settlement negotiations are underway, Carey has demanded $50 million from James, claiming he forced her to uproot her New York life and the geographic transition caused her emotional distress. The consequences, according to the R&B diva, forced her to cancel the South American leg of her world tour, the news outlet reports.

The Packer camp claims the tour cancellations were due to poor ticket sales rather than distress from their move.

Packer also, according to TMZ, is putting his foot down, claiming he doesn’t owe her a penny because they were not married.

The Carey camp maintains that she’s entitled to a portion of James’ earnings because he allegedly used Carey’s name to secure important business deals.

Carey is standing by the $50 million settlement request.
