The star of Almost Famous and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days has had three kids with three different dads. But despite their differences in fathers, the family is remarkably close. The Fabletics co-founder made every effort to keep close ties and remain an amicable co-parent with her former partners. According to Hudson, she is able to maintain good relationships with her parents by prioritizing communication. Hudson may have drawn parenting inspiration from her mom, Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn, who also worked hard to keep the mother-father-child bond close even after breakups when her daughter was growing up.

“It’s all about my kids,” Hudson said in an interview with The Telegraph about her relationship with her exes. “Which means I have to love their fathers, no matter what. And so I put my ego aside, I put aside any challenges that didn’t allow those relationships to last, and I love them — it doesn’t mean I have to be with them … And I think my kids feel that we’re all on the same page. I don’t know how I’ve pulled that off!”

Without further ado, let’s meet the three Hudson kids:

Ryder Russell Robinson

Hudson and her ex-husband Chris Robinson welcomed their first child, Ryder Robinson, into the world in 2004. At the time, Hudson was was only 24 years old. She divorced Ryder’s musician father two years later but remains close to her teenage son to this day. She revealed on The Rachel Ray Show that she’s excited for Ryder to reach drinking age.

“People kind of go, ‘I want to freeze them when they’re little.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t, actually,’” said the star. “I’m having a blast. I can’t wait to go to a bar with my kid — is that weird? He’s so much fun!”

Bingham Hawn Bellamy

After becoming romantically involved with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, Hudson gave birth to her second son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy. The name was inspired in part by Matt Bellamy’s mother’s maiden name and in part by Hudson’s stepfather, Kurt Russell, whose late father’s name was “Bing.”

Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa

With her present-day boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, Hudson welcomed their daughter Rani Rose in 2018. The baby girl can frequently be spotted in her mother’s social media pics. Hudson told AOL that she is training to raise her daughter through a genderless approach.

“[Having a girl] doesn’t really change my approach, but there’s definitely a difference,” she explained. I think you just raise your kids individually regardless — like a genderless [approach]. We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as.”
