On Monday, Cravalho made her “Live! with Kelly” debut and performed the hit song “How Far I’ll Go” from her new film “Moana.”

Cravalho stunned the live studio audience and viewers at home with her out of this world vocals and stage presence. After the performance, she gabbed with host Kelly Ripa and guest co-host, Christian Slater.

Ripa admitted that she and Slater were nervous about the pronunciation of Cravalho’s name and asked what her beautifully unusual name means.

“I am an only child and my mom named me and it means ‘dainty, exquisite and perfect,'” she said.

“You are all of those things!” Ripa said. She then brought up that moment in the Oscars where Cravalho was accidentally hit in the head by a background dancer.

“It was a good little [tap] to remind me, ‘hey, you are at the Oscars,'” she joked. She revealed that she had kind of a fangirl moment when she watched Meryl Streep enjoying her performance.

“I saw Meryl Streep right in front of me and my heart almost leapt out of my chest and in to her lap and she was close enough for that to happen,” Cravalho revealed.

“Moana” is available for purchase on DVD on Tuesday, March 7.
