When Nicolas Cage hits the tabloids, he always does it with a bang. In recent months, he talked about tying the knot last year for the fifth time to his 26-year-old now-wife, revealed they’re expecting a baby and confirmed his two-headed snake on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Well, Cage is red-hot once again … but for a slightly different reason this time around. On Friday afternoon, The U.S. Sun noted that fan @Cyborganna had posted new pics of the smiling actor wearing cherry-red hair and a goatee.

In one of the Instagram pics, he made a surprise visit to a Las Vegas grocery store, Page Six reported. It’s unclear whether he colored his hair due to an upcoming role.

Whatever the case may be, Nicolas Cage fans shouldn’t worry about him slowing down. He’s still taking on new movie projects by a handful.

Nicolas Cage’s Crowded Calendar

Cage already released the well-received film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent earlier this year. But three other Cage films are in post-production and set for release later this year. They include: Butcher’s Crossing, The Retirement Plane, and The Old Way.

Finally, Renfield — Nicolas Cage’s most early awaited upcoming film — is also in post-production but not due out till April 14, 2023. In late March, a People photo of Cage dressed as Dracula on the set of the horror-comedy went viral on social media.

One project that will not feature Nicolas Cage is the upcoming National Treasure program by Disney+. Lisette Olivera, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Justin Bartha, and Harvey Keitel will instead star in the TV show.

Cage was also supposed to play the infamous “Tiger King” Joe Exotic in an eight-episode scripted series, according to multiple reports from March 2020. The creators of the show later scrapped it, however.
