Robin Thicke pays tribute to his late dad, Alan, on the first birthday he’s spent without his pop

Singer Robin Thicke, who is currently embroiled in a nasty custody battle with his ex-wife Paula Patton, paid tribute to his father in a series of Instagram posts this week.

Robin was celebrating his first birthday without his father, Alan Thicke. Thicke, a popular actor on shows like “Growing Pains” passed away in mid-December.

“Missing the OG today. First Bday without him. Love you Pops,” Thicke wrote in one post. The captioned accompanied a selfie taken by his father.

Another post showed the loving father smiling as he carried his sleepy son.

Earlier in the month, Thicke’s family paid tribute to their patriarch on his birthday.

“Missing you and our times together extra today. Enjoy your birthday margarita and rhubarb pie up there, relaxing in your robe watching ESPN. You are and always will be the man. Happy Birthday Pops,” Carter Thicke wrote of his father.
