Meghan Markle will appear in April’s Vanity Fair, the same magazine that published some of the most iconic photos of her boyfriend Prince Harry’s mother Princess Diana.

The 35-year-old actress poses in a photoshoot alongside “global leaders” who attended the One Young World Summit in Ottawa, Canada, back in October, including Emma Watson, Justin Trudeau and Cher. It’s her first official shoot since her royal romance was revealed.

“When I was asked to be a Counsellor at One Young World my response was a resounding ‘yes,'” she wrote about the Summit. “One Young World invites young adults from all over the world who are actively working to transform the socio-political landscape by being the greater good. They are delegates who are speaking out against human rights violations, environmental crises, gender equality issues, discrimination and injustice. They are the change.”
The 2016 Summit gathered 1,300 young leaders and world leaders from across the globe to discuss worldwide challenges and generate innovative solutions. Markle has utilized her fame to spread philanthropy, reflecting in an essay for Elle UK on how her parents raised her to be a “global citizen, with eyes open to sometimes harsh realities.”
“My parents came from little so they made a choice to give a lot: buying turkeys for homeless shelters at Thanksgiving, delivering meals to people in hospices, giving spare change to those asking for it,” she wrote. “It’s what I grew up seeing, so it’s what I grew up being: a young adult with a social consciousness to do what I could and speak up when I knew something was wrong.”
