Twin sisters create wedding memories with their father who has Alzheimer’s – even though they’re not even engaged Lindsey Rabon Photography

Twin sisters Becca and Sarah Duncan from Grapevine, Texas, have always dreamed of their weddings and having their father at their weddings.

However, after their father, Scott Duncan, 80, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2012, they knew their dreams would probably not become a reality.

Recently, when Scott moved into a full-time care facility, Becca and Sarah had the idea to create wedding memories with photos, even though neither of them has plans to get married any time soon.

The 23-year-old twins borrowed wedding dresses, found a photographer (who ended up giving them the photos free of charge) and spent 10 minutes creating the timeless images.

“We just randomly thought of this idea,” Becca told ABC News. “Me and Sarah know that our dad is more than likely not going to be at our wedding – it’s not being a downer or anything; we’re just being realistic – so we decided to do these wedding pictures with Dad.”

The sisters know that not everyone will understand why they wanted to do the photos, but they know it will be a moment they’ll cherish forever.

“It’s something that we’re going to have for the rest of our lives.”
