Chris Pratt, the popular star of Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming Jurassic Park film, talked to Ellen Degeneres on Wednesday about the inspiration he gets from his little son.
Jack, who is two years old, could be caught in what the world refers to as the terrible twos. Pratt believes that a lot of bad behavior he hears about comes from children who cannot express themselves, and expression is not something his young son struggles with.
“Jack I think it’s time for you to go to bed,” Pratt might say to his son.
“I thought about it and no thanks, Dad. Not right now,” Jack Pratt would reply.
“He’s so polite what am I supposed to do? I’m like, ‘I did teach you to be polite…okay, you can stay up,” the elder Pratt told Degeneres of his predicament.
This thoughtfulness carried over to a recent family party, where Pratt tried to tell his son that sometimes adults can get a little angry.
“You know Jack, there’s a lot of people here and it’s very loud and you know people are gonna be having a lot of fun and their might even be some tension.” And he just said, “It’s family.”
“I almost started crying. I was like, ‘Thank you son, you’re right.’ He’s like my therapist,” Pratt said.
