Jake Bongiovi Is About to Make His Acting Debut
Jacob Hurley Bongiovi was born on May 7, 2002. He and siblings Romeo, Stephanie, and Jesse are the four children of rock star Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley. While Jake is primarily known for being the child of a celebrity, he is about to make his feature film acting debut in the rom-com Sweethearts, which wrapped up filming in August of 2022. He will also co-star in the forthcoming comedy Rockbottom, which centers around a 1980 hair metal band called Cougar Snake.
Jake Bongiovi played football at the Poly Prep Country Day School, a high school in Brooklyn, New York. While much of his life has been kept private, he has shared a glimpse into his personal perspectives via social media. Some of those include pondering why people are so concerned about other people’s skin color, but mostly it’s all about his adoration for his girlfriend Millie Bobby Brown (and their many pets). There’s certainly no question that Bongiovi is drop-dead gorgeous, but apart from the occasional selfie or snap with his equally beautiful partner, he lays pretty low.
He’s Been “BFFs” with Millie Bobby Brown Since at Least 2021
The first Instagram post of Bongiovi and Brown was in June of 2021. He called her his “bff” as the two gave boyfriend-girlfriend vibes from inside a car. Five months later, he shared a snap of them drinking tea and asking for ideas for band names. By December of 2021, it was clear that Bongiovi and Brown had fallen in love. They both shared a picture with the caption “Happy Holidays,” eleven days apart. But it was Brown’s that made it clear they were in love as she pressed her cheek against his and he could hardly contain his joy.
Millie Bobby Brown Says She Met Bongiovi on Instagram
According to Elle, Brown was promoting Enola Holmes 2 when she shared that she’d recently discovered there were a lot of Google searches asking how she and Bongiovi met.
“We met on Instagram, and we were friends for a bit, and then, what can I say?” she said.
The next Christmas, Brown and Bongiovi were going full Mariah. “all I want for christmas is uuuuuuuuuu,” she wrote alongside a video of the two of them decorating a Christmas tree. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” played in the background. They were both wearing pajamas and in the background were framed photos of them as a couple. They stop to kiss at one point and give a cat and a dog kisses and hugs.
Brown and Bongiovi Jokingly Call Each Other Barbie and Ken
In February of 2022, Brown shared a photo of Bongiovi and herself from her birthday. She was wearing a gorgeous Annies Ibiza corset dress and he was by her side, both rocking bleached blonde hair. “Hey Ken!” she captioned. Bongiovi shared the same photo, but with the call-out “happy birthday barbie ily <3.”
Bongiovi Has Supported Brown at Red Carpet Events
In March of 2022, Bongiovi accompanied his love at their first red carpet appearance together. He wore a black tuxedo, and she looked gorgeous in a black gown at the EE British Academy Film Awards. In May 2022, he was again by Brown’s side at the season 4 premiere of Stranger Things. “Congratulations babe u deserve the world love you,” he wrote.
He’s Friends with Her Stranger Things Co-Star Noah Schnapp
When they’re not promoting feature films, the pair also enjoy their time hanging with friends and listening to music. In June of 2022, they went to a Harry Styles concert with Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp. “Big Harry Styles fans,” wrote Schnapp alongside a photo of him hugging Bongiovi. That was followed by a picture of Brown grinning from ear to ear.
Brown shared another picture from the same show, of Bongiovi bending her backwards in the bleachers and kissing her. “Alexa play love of my life by harry styles,” she wrote.
They’re Madly In Love
While Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown undeniably look good together on the red carpet, what’s even more beautiful is the love they have for each other. After officially coming out as a couple, the two have been sharing snaps declaring their love for each other, working out and eating ice cream, cruising on the highway in “Barbie and Ken” style, and staring into each other’s eyes in front of luxurious mountain landscapes.
“Another year around the sun together happy 19th to the girl of my dreams. I love you more than words can describe. Everything about you is golden down to the core,” Bongiovi shared in February 2023. The carousel starts with a photo of the pair sleeping side-by-side like a couple of puppies.
They Low-Key Announced Their Engagement on April 11, 2023
It shouldn’t be surprising then that Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown are engaged. The announcement was subtle but a picture is worth 1,000 words.
Both celebrities shared photos on April 11 featuring the actress in a white lace fitted dress and wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger. Bongiovi was wearing a white shirt and embracing her, looking completely smitten.
“Forever,” Bongiovi captioned.
“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all,” wrote Brown.
