The mongoose may not appear aggressive, but this desert mammal can chew up a venomous cobra like a gummy worm.
As it comes face to face with a cold-blooded reptile that could easily kill a man, the mongoose hops around, dodging the cobra’s every bite.
Soon, the snake runs out of stamina and the mongoose makes a dive. It jabs its sharp tiny teeth into the cobra’s neck and hops backwards in defense. Noticing that the snake hasn’t moved, the mammal bites its neck again and this time, refuses to let go.
The moongoose shakes from left to right and up and down, disabling the snake as a dog would to its favorite toy.
