Zoo visitors looked on as this mother giraffe gave birth to her 6-foot baby

At the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee, a female giraffe gave birth to her 6-foot-tall calf.

For minutes, the mom-to-be walked slowly, using her movements to help push out the baby.

Surely, the calf didn’t make its grand entrance easily. It needed a bit of motivation from the crowd.

As the visitors cheered and clapped loudly, the mother giraffe began to lick the newborn, encouraging it to stand.
