According to 95.3 The Bear, Angel, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2013, has been incredibly strong in her fight since she’s once been cancer free. However, in a heartbreaking turn of events, the illness found it’s way back to her. And, this time around, it returned with a vengeance.
Now, Angel’s family is trying to find ways to put a smile on the young girl’s face, as she makes the most out of the time that she has left with them. And, with a reality as painful as that, it can be difficult to smile.
That’s where Florida Georgia Line comes in. Angel is a superfan of the country music duo. And, she had no idea that the singers learned about her illness. Together, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelly got on the phone to dial her number. And, it was a moment that Angel will certainly never forget.
“I was thinking about you, and I wish you could be here with us tonight. We’re in Canada,” Brian tells Angel over the phone, “So, we’ll have a good time, and you’ll be in our thoughts and our prayers. Stay strong and stay positive. Get well. You’re amazing, just know that. All right?”

The phone call happened all thanks to Angel’s friend, Monk, who works at 95.3 The Bear. Ever since he met Angel back in 2014 and found out about her love for FGL, he wanted to do everything in his power to make the phone call happen. And, he finally did.
“She always turns to music to get through hard times in her life,” Angel’s mother Kim Eaton tells WVUA 23 news, “I was like, ‘Honey, Florida Georgia Line is on the phone,’ and her eyes just popped open. I have not seen her that alert in ages!”
