We’ve been hearing the new Tim McGraw and Faith Hill collaboration, “Speak to a Girl,” for a week or so now, which has given us plenty of time to fall deeply in love with it. Of course, that happened on the first listen for many of us. Regardless, as much as we can’t seem to hear it enough on the radio, it doesn’t beat getting to hear and see Tim and Faith perform their new hit live on the ACM Awards.

In some ways, that goose bump-inducing performance marked a return to country music for the feminine side of that super duet. With the exception of lending her sweet voice to her hubs’ hit single, “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s,” Faith’s voice has been mostly absent from country radio.

So the magic of performing “Speak to a Girl” live at the ACM Awards on April 2 wasn’t wasted on Faith Hill, who seems to have discovered the fountain of youth. In one of the most anticipated performances of the night, Tim and Faith started their collaboration on opposite sides of the stage, working their way toward each other as the production grew. As they stood next to each other to finish out the song, Faith’s smile began to grow wider and when they were finished, she was like a little girl, gleefully jumping up and down with delight.

Dapper Tim pulled his wife close to him and planted a big smooch on her perfect pout and the award for most romantic moment of the night goes to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
