Chris Stapleton previewed the first of two new albums he’ll be releasing this year at a party in Nashville April 5. It took place at RCA Studio A, the historic room where he recorded the projects.

The first album, “From A Room, Volume 1,” will be out May 5, featuring “Broken Halos.” He performed that song at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium earlier this year, and the fan comments on this video of the song let us know many are finding comfort and healing in those lyrics.

Chris’ new album also includes his fiery, acoustic performance of “Either Way,” a song he wrote that Lee Ann Womack recorded back in 2008. Chris’ version had everyone at the listening party mesmerized. It’s guaranteed to give you chills and will be the first single released to radio from the new album.

Chris also threw in a cover of “Last Thing I Needed, First Thing This Morning,” which was a hit for Willie Nelson in 1982. “Second One to Know,” which Chris just performed on the ACM Awards, is also on the track listing.
