Miranda Lambert stepped onto the huge stage of the 52nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday looking her most beautiful, and perhaps most vulnerable.

Armed with just her guitar, Miranda tore into an emotional performance of her song “Tin Man” off of her current double album, “The Weight of These Wings,” finishing the song looking like she was about to shed a tear.

But she didn’t.

Instead, she stood as strong as ever, taking in a deserving standing ovation from her country music peers for the ACM Awards performance, which she recently told Rare Country that she just decided to do acoustically just a few short days ago.

“I’m nervous. I’m terrified, is the word I’m using,” Miranda said just moments after rehearsing for her performance. “I changed my song at the last minute, like, less than 48 hours ago.”

And not only did she show a silent strength to the crowd, but she also looked downright gorgeous in a black dress with fringe that had every country fan salivating.

The performance served as a perfect setup for Miranda, who came into the night with multiple nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year against fellow country superstars Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves.
