What happens when you combine award-winning singers and a killer song?

Musical magic, for sure.

That’s what happened when Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson melded their incredible voices for the award-winning “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” It was, in fact, so magical that it took home the CMA Award for “Musical Event of the Year” and ACM awards in the “Vocal Event” and “Single of the Year” categories.

But there’s another award-winning singer that Kelly nailed that duet with, too — five-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton. During an April 3 tour stop on her Stronger Tour at the then Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, Blake stepped on stage to take Jason’s part in the duet. And while the Jason/Kelly version has always been…well…steamy and sexy, when Kelly enlists Blake’s help, the two are almost overcome with giggles. That’s due, in large part, to the fact that Kelly’s husband, Brandon Blackstock, is Blake’s manager, so the singers have a long and likely hilarious relationship. In fact, Blake was going to serve as the officiant at Kelly and Brandon’s wedding until the couple decided to elope.
