Y’all proved just how much you love Blake Shelton by voting him Male Artist of the Year and Story of the Year in the inaugural, fan-voted Rare Country Awards. And, come on, don’t most of us love Christmas, too?

So, what happens if you throw equal parts of Blake Shelton and Christmas into a blender, throw in a splash of support for the USO and a dash of the lovely ladies from the USO Show Troupe, shake it up and garnish it with a backdrop of New York City during the holidays? You get the perfect holiday cocktail.

Back in 2013, Blake signed on with the JCPenney “Jingle Mingle” to perform a few Christmas songs in their Big Apple holiday celebration. The country music superstar and “The Voice” mentor performed acoustic Christmas classics, including “Winter Wonderland” and “Jingle Bell Rock,” with the USO Troupe behind him and a couple of guitar players beside him.

Blake, who has partnered with JCPenney since 2012, also recorded a version of “Silent Night” that included families of active-duty soldiers in a commercial that aired at Christmas time. The relationship with the retail giant also led to a sponsorship for his 2014 Ten Times Crazier Tour that raised awareness and support for military families and soldiers through donations to the USO.
