For many of us, the beginning of a new year is like having a clean slate. It’s a time to make changes with good intentions to do better and feel better.

But for Blake Shelton, this past year saw him at the top of his game. Not only did he drop his most personal album to date titled, “If I’m Honest,” but he also continued his budding relationship with “The Voice” co-star, Gwen Stefani.

So, when it comes to reflecting on 2016 and planning for 2017, Blake says that he’s grateful for his good fortune, and he doesn’t need much else to keep him happy.

“I get to the point now where I literally feel guilty,” said Blake while appearing on an episode of CMT’s “Hot 20 Countdown,” “I feel guilty over the blessings that I’ve had up to this point. Even here today talking about ‘Ol Red,’ and it’s like, ‘Gosh! It’s just another great thing. How did I get to be so lucky?’”

Although Blake doesn’t plan on making any changes, he says he wants to keep up the same momentum as last year.

“I guess if I have any kind of resolution, I just want to maintain,” said Blake. “I’ll be happy if I could just maintain this for another 20 or 30 years or 40 years I’m good. I don’t need any newness.”

On Jan. 18, Blake will perform at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards. Shortly after that he will take the road as part of his Doin’ It To Country Songs Tour. Blake will bring two of his former mentees from the “The Voice” on the trek. They include RaeLynn and season 11 winner Sundance Head. The tour kicks off Feb. 16 in Bakersfield, California and goes until March.
