Back in December, Carrie Underwood performed her new single “Little Toy Guns” for the first time in front of an intimate audience at a record release party for her 25-song “Greatest Hits: Decade #1.” And on January 30, she turned to her Facebook page to share the heartbreaking video for that with the world.

“As a special thanks for all of your support over the years, I want YOU to be the first to see my brand new video for ‘Little Toy Guns!’” Underwood wrote on her Facebook page.

The video tells the story of a little girl, faced with the burden of being stuck in the middle of her quarreling parents. It moves on to show the girl becoming a warrior of sorts within the brush of a forest, eventually reuniting her parents amongst the turmoil. A glowing Underwood is shown also in the forest serving as quite the angelic vision in the midst of chaos.

The single and video follows the tremendous success of Underwood’s chart-topping and Grammy nominated smash “Something in the Water,” which was also accompanied by a quite powerful video.

Written by Underwood along with famed Nashville songwriters Chris DeStefano and Hillary Lindsey, “Little Toy Guns” will begin playing on your favorite radio station in mid-February.
