Country music sweetheart Carrie Underwood released her brand new single “Little Toy Guns” this week. The emotional song chronicles a young child over hearing his parents arguing.

In a behind the scenes interview, the mom-to-be discusses the making of the video in more detail.

“The whole concept of the song is that this little girl hears her parents fighting and it really affects her. And there’s so many people that can relate to a story like that,” she said.

“Talking about words, and how much they can hurt, and you know you just wish they were more like little play things…things that didn’t actually do any damage,” Underwood said.

Using the director from her “Two Black Cadillacs” video, she brought in her co-actor from The Sound of Music to be the heroine for the video.

While talking about the experience, Grace Rundhaug was tearing up.

“Well I love the costume, and I like how I’m the warrior and I save everyone,” Rundhaug said.

“I was so excited, I was in tears because I really missed her,” she said about her excitement to be in the video.
