It looks like Taylor Swift hasn’t forgotten about her country music roots after all.
She certainly didn’t forget about the country music hotties she left behind.
“The little known fact is that I started out in country music,” Swift kidded with the fanatic crowd assembled at Chicago’s Soldier Field at her July 19 tour stop of her 1989 World Tour. “It’s actually not a little known fact at all. I’m actually very proud that I started out in country music.”
She continued, as the crowd picked up on the fact she might have a surprise for them.
“Here’s the thing,” Swift continued. “I like to keep tabs on it because you know I love it and I love to see what’s going on in country music and I think I’ve got the coolest thing about country music about to come out. The coolest new thing country music has going on is about to be on this stage.”
Enter Sam Hunt.
The two proceeded to sit on a staged park bench as Swift’s special guest Hunt began the opening lines of “Take Your Time,” turning his solo hit into a duet that the crowd simply could not get enough of.
Hunt heads back on the Lady Antebellum Wheels Up 2015 Tour in Wisconsin on July 23.
