Country fans have only seen little Asher James in Instagram pictures from his proud mommy and daddy. His mommy shared plenty of pictures of him while she was still pregnant, and his daddy, Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay, couldn’t help but share a pic of his adorable little hands when he was first born on Jan. 24.

But now, it’s finally time to see his adorable face.

Shay shared the first picture of his adorable 6-week-old son on March 10 and gushed to People Magazine about how the little tyke has completely transformed his life.
“Being a dad is the scariest and most amazing thing I’ve ever done,” Shay said of his son, whom he shares with fiancée Hannah Billingsley. “Watching Hannah hold our baby boy brings me joy that I’ve never felt. The world is a better place with Asher in it. Having a mini-you is the coolest thing in the world. Getting to hold something you created is just very inspiring. It’s like – I cannot believe that I made this.”

Of course, having a young baby also comes with its share of challenges.
“Hannah doesn’t get any sleep at all because she has to feed him,” Shay said. “He wakes up every three hours or so. He’s sleeping more now, but not a lot of sleep at home.”
