Faith Hill is getting ready to do something she hasn’t done in a decade. The last time she and hubby Tim McGraw launched a massive tour was back in 2007. Now, they’re launching their Soul2Soul World Tour 2017 in New Orleans on April 7, and Faith knows it’s going to take a lot of energy to keep the show on the road.

It’s not that she doesn’t love performing for her fans. That’s only two hours of the day, though. The rest of the time is spent on the move from town to town and doing interviews and sound checks. It’s not easy to maintain that breakneck pace.

Faith tells “New Beauty,” “It’s very intense because of the schedule. There’s lots of moving around, lots of flying in and out of cities on the same day, lots of being away from home, and no matter who you are, it takes a lot out of you. It really takes a toll.”

Being physically exhausted can wreak havoc on a singer’s voice, so Faith has to take care of her instrument, too. On big tours like this one, Faith is happy she is simply singing for her audience.

“The show alone is so physically challenging because there’s a lot involved, and then you’re singing on top of it,” Faith says. “I cannot imagine how it would be if I also danced.”

Rest-assured, Faith and Tim will be prepared to wow the fans with their new tour. Their new duet, “Speak to a Girl,” just came out this week. Look for them to perform it on the ACM Awards coming up April 2 on CBS.
