We’re coming down the homestretch of shopping days left until Christmas and while the elves are working around the clock to finish up toys for all of the little ones on Santa’s “Nice List,” parents are thinking, rethinking and overthinking what they’re going to purchase as a gift from Mommy and Daddy for their precious offspring.

Even superstars like Kelly Clarkson labor over what she and husband Brandon Blackstock are going to gift their children Savannah, Seth, River Rose and Remy. While Savannah and Seth are old enough to have specific wants and needs, River and Remy are still a little young to ask Santa for specific presents. However, they do know exactly what they like.

During a press conference to talk about her upcoming “Miracle on Broadway” concert held Dec. 16 in Nashville, Kelly was almost giddy when she talked about the impending holiday. “I’ve always loved Christmas, but Christmas with children is next-level amazing,” she said before laughing and adding, “They’re fascinated by the wrapping paper. I’m like, ‘I could have just gotten you a box!’ It’s a fun time with children, and we have quite a bit of them in our family.”

Apparently, not all of the elves are at the North Pole are making toys, though. Kelly also admitted that a community of the tiny creatures had taken up residence in the Clarkson-Blackstock home.

“The elves come to our house now, so we have the elves that come and they’re on shelves and pianos, everywhere in our house. They have reindeer friends and dogs and everything that come, and that’s pretty magical when you have little kids,” she said.

As excited as she is for the elves, the gifts and the crunchy wrapping paper, there’s something else that Kelly is looking forward to most, and it has her heaving a sigh of anticipation. She explains, “It’s hard to get everybody to slow down for a moment and all get together… My husband and I, we both travel quite a bit, so I think just the tradition of saying, ‘Nope, we’re shutting down on this day’…then it’s just family time.”

That time happens the day after the “Miracle on Broadway” concert, so if you want a chance to see Kelly, along with Reba McEntire, Kelsea Ballerini, Ronnie Dunn, Hunter Hayes, the SteelDrivers, RaeLynn and more, be sure to get a ticket to the Dec. 16 show in Nashville. After that, Kelly is pulling the plug until 2017.

Merry Christmas to Grammy-nominated Kelly, husband Brandon and to all their sweet kiddos.
