The lyrics pay tribute to two great sources of strength Reba’s leaned on the past few years as she’s faced a few challenges, including the loss of her father and the end of her marriage. Through all of those storms, Reba knew she wasn’t facing life alone.

She says, ” My girlfriends are a blessing because they are there to listen and to give me advice. There’s just a special bond that you have with your girlfriends. But it’s even more of a special bond that you have with God. Without those two in my life over these last two years, it would have been really rough on me.

Reba goes on to say she wouldn’t want to go through life without God before adding, “But to also have your girlfriends there for support, that’s the icing on the cake.”
