Al lright, enough already! Shania, you have been teasing us with photos of recording and writing for a while now. If you don’t give us a new album soon, we’re going to, well, we’re going to just keep waiting! Because, as all die-hard Shania Twain fans know, new music from the Canadian songbird is worth the wait.

Last summer, there was talk that Shania would be finished with the album in the winter, but this summer, a series of tweets has shown her still hard at work on the project, and that’s OK. We know art doesn’t happen overnight.

It’s been 14 years since we last had a studio album from Shania and that was 2002’s “Up,” which produced singles like the title track, along with the chart-topping “I’m Gonna Getcha Good,” the timeless “Forever and for Always,” and the heartbreaking “It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing.”

Since then, little Sha-nay-nay became one of the most coveted tickets in Las Vegas in a two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace and completed her farewell tour with the Rock This Country Tour. She is now retired from touring, but there has been talk of a return to Las Vegas.

And there’s the album. Hey, Shania’s birthday is coming up on Aug. 28, maybe she’ll give us a sneak peek as a little birthday present! Oh, wait, we’re supposed to give her presents. So, we’ll just sit here and wait not-so-patiently-but-really-excitedly because, as we’ve already said, it’s worth it.
