This acoustic tribute to female country music trailblazer Dolly Parton is spot on.
The song, titled “Dear Dolly,” was written by Ruthie Collins, Jessica Roadcap, and Natalie Stovall, and sung here in the video by Natalie Stovall.
The lyrics are an ode to Parton blazing the trail for the many other female artists who followed in her footsteps.
“Natalie’s taking all of the wisdom she’s accumulated from Dolly over the years and put into a letter to Dolly and addresses the current world of country music and so much more. If only we could all write a letter Dolly,” Country Outfitters says of the song.
