This little cowgirl who talked to angels is now walking with them video screenshot video screenshot

It?s rodeo season. For many, the thrill of the sport has us filled with immense excitement. Unfortunately though, for those of us who follow the sport, we also pray every time someone enters the arena. The risks and dangers to the cowboys, cowgirls and rodeo clowns in the ring is extreme. Sometimes the danger occurs outside the ring, though.

The rodeo community is reeling from the loss of one of their youngest and most promising competitors. According to KBTX-TV, on March 18 in Caldwell, Texas, 10-year-old Piper Faust was about to enter the arena to compete in her favorite sport ? barrel racing ? when her horse spooked and fell back on her. Her father, Brian, said, ?I think her heart stopped in the arena. She left her soul where she loved it.?

As heartbreaking as it is, he also said, ?She’d always talk to the angels, and they would talk to her, and she always told us that she wouldn’t live to be old, that she would die young, and she knew it.?

According to the Southeast Texas Youth Rodeo Association Facebook page, they will be honoring Piper at the next rodeo. A GoFundMe page has also been set up to assist the family during this tragedy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Faust family and with all of the competitors in this year?s rodeo season. Ride safe.
