The Academy of Country Music’s Girls Night Out always produces a number of beautiful covers of female country music stars’ hits.
One of them was this one, performed by Vince Gill, in 2011.

“Carrie I wasn’t really sure which one of your 13 No. 1 hits that I should perform tonight. I must say it was a very tough decision. It was a toss up between ‘Cowboy Casanova,’ but thank God this one won,” Gill said before he began the intro into the song.
The song he sang was none other than “Jesus Take The Wheel,” an iconic Carrie Underwood chart-topper.
Vince Gill provided his light voice to the song giving it an entirely different flavor than Underwood, but powerful nonetheless.

At the end of the performance, Underwood seemed truly touched, almost in tears.
The two went on to perform a tear-inducing version of “How Great Thou Art.“
