There are a ton of reasons why Jana Kramer could have just cancelled the private concert in Georgia. God knows that the country beauty had her hands full with her career and her baby and the fact that she had announced her separation from her husband just a few days before.

Yet, as most strong woman do, Jana persevered.

And with every ounce of strength she probably had left in her body, she stepped on the stage of Cosmopolitan Live in Marietta, Georgia on Aug. 26 and belted out the song that once held so such meaning for her. And with every note and every lyric, you could see that Jana was on the verge of shedding tears over the current state of her personal life.

Yet, as she has done so many times in the past, she went on.

With her eyes seeming to flutter to push away the tears that were trying their hardest to escape on the outside and a forced smile trying to mask the pain she felt inside, Jana sang the words to her hit song“I Got the Boy” to an audience that seemed at the ready to show the care, love and support that Jana needed to get through the song.

“You are going to stop because you are going to make me start crying, too,” Jana told an audience member, using her hand to seemingly push away the emotion she was feeling over the song. And as the song began to wind down, the tears began to fill Jana’s eyes. And when the last note was complete, Jana got off her stool and went to hug the fan that had been upset during the song.

Yet, knowing Jana, this was not the end. Whether she ends up with the boy or the man, this will just be the beginning.
