Each and every year, countless tourists flock to Nashville dreaming of the possibility that they might just see their favorite artist walking down the street, at the local coffee shop or at the fancy restaurant they made reservations at five months ago.

And every once in a while, their dreams come true.

But on a random Tuesday night on Oct. 4, it’s safe to say that no one was expecting country rocker Kid Rock to walk into Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge in Nashville around 11 p.m. and stick around to play nearly a four-hour set!

Aahhh, the magic of Nashville.

Kid Rock, in fact, is currently in Music City as preparations begin for his Second Annual Fish Fry, scheduled to take place Oct. 7-8 at the Fontanel.

The music festival will not only include full music sets from Kid Rock on both days, but it will also feature a plethora of other activities, including fireworks, local food trucks and a Ferris wheel.

And yes, there will be fish — lots of fried fish.

The timing of Kid Rock’s Tootsie’s performance also makes one wonder if he was in attendance at nearby Ryman Auditorium, where on the very same night Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were performing their very first show at the hallowed venue and announcing their first tour in 10 years.
