Little Big Town’s massive hit “Girl Crush” has always been a tad painful to listen to, mostly because we have all been there once or twice in our lifetime.

But to hear Miranda Lambert wail out a verse of the jealousy heavy ode to love nearly a week after her divorce from hubby Blake Shelton was…well…downright heart wrenching.

Performing to a sold out crowd at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley as part of her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Unplugged event, Lambert and LBT’s Karen Fairchild turned in an incredible version of the song. The two also performed Lambert’s new single “Smokin’ and Drinkin’” earlier in the night, according to a review in The Tennessean newspaper.

Fairchild was just one part of the girl power igniting on stage during the July 28 concert, which also included singer/songwriters such as Natalie Hemby, Jessi Alexander, Clare Dunn, RaeLynn and Courtney Cole.

But, there was also a distinct male presence. Many attendees reported that Blake Shelton’s music played over the loudspeakers before Lambert and her female counterparts took the stage. And shortly before Lambert’s second song of the night, she allegedly told the crowd that “she was getting by on a lot of caffeine and sad songs these days” according to a report from ABC News Radio’s Hunter Kelly.

So have we, Miranda. So have we.
